Orcha Our History
I grew up and still search for stones. This quest took me across Asia where in 2004 on the foothills of the Himalayas I met Vincent.
THE BIRTH OF ORCHA
It was in Chandra's shop, in Freak Street Kathmandu, that, amazed by the beauty of the stones and the exceptional know-how of Nepalese jewelers, my desire to link my passions for drawing, stones and travel was imposed on me. The deep feeling of belonging to this part of the world, that the mountains and the smiles of the Nepalese people aroused in Vincent made him join me in the adventure.
FROM KATHMANDU TO BANGKOK
For several years, we traveled across Asia in search of stones, encounters and knowledge: From the mountains of Nepal to the sacred temples of Cambodia, from the wild forests of Laos to the heavenly beaches of Thailand. We took the time to learn about gems, the art of goldsmithing and its techniques before launching into their trade. In Bangkok, a former GIA professor gave us our first lessons in identification, recognition of different inclusions and treatments as well as the handling of basic tools. He taught us the importance of selection, shape, brilliance and size of stones.
Back in Kathmandu, Vincent learned jewelry and jewelry making. This training allowed him to understand traditional techniques and the demands required to produce quality work, respecting deadlines and the ethical standards of the artisans with whom we work today.
JAIPUR
It is in Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan, the world epicenter of stone cutting, known for the manufacture of the most sumptuous jewelry in the world, that we have established ourselves several months a year.
Our meeting in 2007 with Junaid, our friend and partner, marked a real turning point in our freedom to create. Indeed, a talented craftsman and attentive and respectful team leader, he was able to materialize my designs into quality jewelry pieces, making our collections a modern testament to the excellence of manual work.
The personal and trusting relationship that we maintain with our various partners in Jaipur allows us to constantly check the naturalness of the stones and to guarantee decent working conditions and transparent and resource-friendly processes during the production of our jewelry.
Together, we create sustainable and ethical jewelry, which demonstrates our commitment to a brighter and more respectful world.
ORCHA A HYMN TO NATURE AND THE JOY OF LIVING
Our collections inspired by the atmosphere, colors, lights and landscapes of the world are born from a drawing where I work geometric perfection, the right proportions combined with the purity of lines to achieve harmonious and light shapes, while sublimating gemstones. By choosing our jewelry, you are not only offering yourself a fashion accessory, but a real talisman, charged with the energy and symbolism of the stone that composes it.
Because nothing is left to chance, I feel infinite gratitude for all the people, the support and the energy transmitted that make us what we are today.
With all our affection
